Start an online session

Who can use this
You can start an online session when you are the assigned supervisor, the session is upcoming, and it was booked as a remote session.
The session link becomes available one hour before the scheduled start time.
Start the call
- Open Sessions, then select Upcoming.
- Open the session you are about to lead.
- Select Start session. Motivo opens your Zoom host link in a new browser tab or window.
- If a supervisee needs the attendee link, select Copy join link. On a smaller screen, this action may appear as Copy link.
- Run the session in Zoom, then return to your Motivo account to record attendance and complete the session.
Use Start session for yourself. The copied link is for attendees and does not give them host controls.
If the button is unavailable
If Start session is disabled, check the scheduled start time. The link stays disabled until the one-hour access window begins.
If Motivo cannot retrieve the meeting URL, the session page says so. Contact support@motivohealth.com for help with that session link.
If nothing opens
Start session opens Zoom in a new tab, so a pop-up blocker will stop it silently. If selecting the button appears to do nothing, allow pop-ups for Motivo in your browser, return to the session, and try again. Your browser may also be waiting for permission to open the Zoom app.
The Zoom call opens outside the current Motivo tab. After you select the direct Zoom link, the original tab may move to the post-session page so attendance is ready when you return. Closing the Zoom tab does not submit the session automatically.
If a supervisee cannot enter the call, confirm that you opened Start session rather than the copied attendee link. Then copy Copy join link again and send the fresh attendee link through Messages.
