Reschedule a session or series
Updated August 31, 2026
Who can use this
You can reschedule a session when you are its supervisor and the session is still available for editing.
Use Edit session to change an upcoming date or time without cancelling and creating a replacement.
Reschedule the session
- Open Sessions, then select Upcoming.
- Open the session you need to change.
- Select Edit session.
- Update the date, time, duration, attendees, location, or Time zone as needed.
- Review the summary and select Update session.
- If the session is part of a repeating series, choose This session only or This and upcoming sessions.
- Select Update to confirm the recurring-session choice.
The updated session remains under Upcoming. Choosing This and upcoming sessions changes the selected occurrence and every later occurrence in that series. It does not change earlier sessions.
Changing the duration
Duration is chosen from a fixed list, from 30 minutes up to 3 hours in 15-minute steps. The same list applies whether the session is still upcoming or has already happened.
Editing a session that has already happened is more limited: the page tells you that only attendees and duration can be changed. Its date, time, and time zone are fixed once the original start time has passed.
When a session cannot be edited
Cancelled sessions can never be edited.
A session you have completed stays editable for 24 hours after it ends, which is the window for fixing attendance or a duration you recorded wrongly.
After five business days from the end of a session, editing is closed entirely, whatever state the session is in.
If Edit session is not available, check the session's state and how long ago it ran. For an attendance or notes correction inside the window, use the controls on the completed session rather than moving its scheduled time. Once the windows have passed, contact support@motivohealth.com.
If a repeating schedule needs a different recurrence pattern, cancel the remaining occurrences and book a new series with the new pattern.
The same attendee rules used during booking still apply while editing. Do not combine independent and employer-sponsored supervisees, or supervisees from different employers, in one session. If the attendee group must change across employers, create separate sessions.
