Set up your employer account
Updated August 31, 2026
Employer accounts are not self-serve. Motivo creates your organization for you as part of setting up your agreement, along with the first administrator account. You do not sign up on a form, and there is nothing to create before your first email arrives.
If you are trying to get your organization onto Motivo and no account exists yet, write to support@motivohealth.com rather than looking for a signup page.
Your first email
The first administrator receives an email with the subject Welcome to Motivo For Employers! Next steps inside. It contains a link to set your password.
- Select the link in the email to set your password.
- From then on, sign in with the email address the invitation was sent to.
- Go to
employers.motivohealth.comand bookmark it. That is the employer portal, and it is a different site from the one supervisors and supervisees use.
Password links expire. If yours has, the page tells you the link is no longer valid and offers Go to login, where you can use the forgot-password option to send yourself a fresh one.
What to do first
Once you can sign in:
- Look around the dashboard so you know where supervisees, supervisors, sessions, and reports live.
- Watch for an email from your Employer Care Manager. Every organization is assigned one, and they will introduce themselves and arrange a kickoff call. They stay your named contact afterwards, so take questions to them rather than to general support.
- Add your employees so they can be matched with supervisors.
- If your organization pays by card rather than by invoice, add a payment card so supervisees can start booking sessions.
Add the rest of your team
You do not have to wait for Motivo to add your colleagues. Open Settings > Team and select Add member, then enter their name, email, and role. They get their own invitation email and set their own password.
What you control and what Motivo sets up
You manage your organization's own details in Settings: the organization name, clinical setting, the populations and specialties you serve, whether notes are required in reports, your programs, your team, and your payment method.
Session rates, payout amounts, monthly minimums, fees, and which license types and states your organization is eligible for are part of your agreement with Motivo and are set on our side. If any of those need to change, contact your account manager or write to support@motivohealth.com.
