Learn when and how to remove (unmatch) a supervisee from your Motivo Dashboard. This article explains the steps, the available options, and the difference between removing employer-funded and self-pay supervisees.

Removing a Supervisee from Your Dashboard

Supervisors can remove (or “unmatch”) a supervisee from their Motivo Dashboard once supervision has officially ended. This keeps your dashboard current and ensures supervisees are reassigned if needed.

When should I remove a supervisee?

  • Employer-funded supervisees: Always notify your Account Manager before removing. This ensures the employer is informed and documentation is complete. Do not remove solely because the supervisee is unresponsive—contact your Account Manager first.
  • Self-pay supervisees: You may remove them directly if you have communicated with the supervisee and confirmed any paperwork (e.g., verification forms) is submitted.

Options when removing a supervisee

When you click Remove supervisee, you’ll be asked to select a reason. Here’s what each option means:

How to remove a supervisee

  1. Log in to your Supervisor Dashboard.
  2. Click Supervisees.
  3. Find the supervisee you’d like to remove and click the options icon next to their name.
  4. Select Remove supervisee.
  5. Choose the correct reason from the list above.
  6. Enter the supervisee’s full name in the confirmation field.
  7. Check the acknowledgment box confirming you’ve followed the communication steps.
  8. Click Yes, unmatch and then Continue.
