Please join us for the next forum in our Racial Equity Series on Wednesday, September 29th. 

This session will explore the impact racial injustice and discrimination might have on children and adolescents and will discuss strategies parents, caregivers, healthcare providers, and therapists can use to thoughtfully address with children and adolescents.

This panel discussion is open to all Anthem providers and affiliates, as well as all health and behavioral health professionals, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers, addiction counselors, and psychologists.

In this session, attendees will:

  • Gain insight into the various ways racism impacts children and adolescents differently than adults.
  • Explore how to recognize possible symptoms of racial trauma in children and adolescents.
  • Learn age-appropriate strategies for how to thoughtfully address questions about race and racism with children and adolescents.
  • Learn about available resources to further enhance their understanding of the impact of racism on children and adolescents.
